Hey Mom and Dad!
So I can't believe how fast time has flown! Last week I guess officially made it 1 year since I left home! We spent that day at a helping hand service project at a little local library in a place called Odumase which was nice. It was just us 16 missionaries in the Zone doing it so it was all fun! Hitting the half way mark on your mission sure makes you reflect on how well you have use the Lords time so far though! It feels like alot has happened and we've had alot of success, but I also having been looking on things I can improve on alot! This 'milestone' that all the missionaries make the 1 year mark seem like has got me feeling pretty happy and sad to be honest though lol! I only have 12 more months serving as a servant of the Lord! I guess I've enjoyed this past year so so much as to why I'm sad about only having this much time left! Nevertheless this past week was so great! We stated teaching some new people and we witnessed little miracles as we taught during the week. Elder Bulunga and I were able to meet and teach this guy named Eric. We had an interesting discussion with him about the message of the Restoration and primarily about Christ establishing his Church and the great Apostasy that followed. Eric reacted in a pretty challenging attitude trying to question it and so we ended up inviting him to read the pamphlet and pray about, because you know, God wont lie! We go to meet him again later in the week and the first thing he said was, "okay, I'm a little convinced" and that was enough for him to be humbled. We were able to have a great lesson and he accepted and completed his commitments we left him that lesson too. What a miracle it was that his heart and attitude had changed! We also started teaching another man who visited the Church Randomly the other week. He has been travelling in and out of Accra because he is a military man, works in the air force for Ghana. He has a really interesting life story that he shared with us and he was real open. He asked us questions about the Church, why there are so many churches today, and what is different about our message. So we were able to have a really awesome lesson with him, and he is progressing solidly! Church on Sunday was good! I was a bit sick on the weekend which was stink but nothing to serious, I think I was just dehydrated. So been sticking to drinking a heap of water and everything is going all good lol, FAIL! Our biggest focus at the moment is increasing sacrament attendance. Elder Bulunga and I have been doing our best to bring more people into the Fold but also help those who are falling less active come back! I know as we are obedient and put all our efforts into it, the Lord will provide and guide us to those he is preparing to receive the Gospel! Anyway, only 12 more months now hey! The countdown begins haha! Love you heaps though Mom and Dad! I'm really grateful to be out here serving these people and I'm so grateful to you both for raising me, supporting me and helping me prepare for this wonderful service for the Lord! Have a wonderful week! x Elder Fesolai
