Good Morning Mom and Dad!
Well this past week has been so so busy for Elder Winborg and I! You wouldnt believe how much the work has been blowing up here in Nungua. It is just WOW! So Currently we have 7 people preparing for baptism in the upcoming month of December! With possibly another 3 dates being extended this week! There are alot of people we still need to follow up on through our finding efforts too. Its really wonderful to see how the Lord is preparing these people. This week gone weve been teaching Naomi's children and younger sister. Seeing this family just transform brings so much joy to my soul! Meeting their family for the first time during my first week here in Nungua, to seeing them now is just so so beautiful! They have come so far and are like my second family! The gospel is great, and the power of the Atonement is so REAL! Nungua ward is doing really well too! I think very soon the ward will be split, so that will be an interesting change! If new wards are made it means that maybe we have to proselyte and attend both wards and areas. We will see what happens though! The ward is continually growing though and the love the members show for us is so apparent! Hahaha its funny we do the same thing! When we go to members houses and we know they have sons or daughters on the mission it usually comes into our conversation! Aww nothing is better than some noodle omelettes in times of need haha! I must admit when you would sometimes cook them and tell me about them back home, i was not a fan at all! Haha i see their value now! Im not really keen on eating snails again though, I mean if the time comes i will but until that day comes.... I cant believe We are just about in December already. It only feels like a month ago if that that I was in California with Aunty Sonya and then at the MTC! It is somehow scary how fast time is flying on the mission! In 4 more weeks itll be 6 months! Crazy! We too have our ward Christmas party coming up which should be interesting haha! We have alot of people T'd up to see on Christmas though. Like 4 members have already invited us. So im pretty keen to chop (eat) alot of fufu and banku! See if i can break my record of 4 banku balls lol... Im always looking forward to the start of a new week though! Time to set new goals, face new challenges and achieve them! Ive never felt so confident going out and not just talking to people, but sharing the Restored Gospel with them! Because i know it has the power to change lives, but also because I know i have the support of my Savior and Father in Heaven! When we strive for exact obedience like the Stripling Warriors, miracles and great works can come to pass! Elder Winborg and I are doing very well though! Elder Winborg is becoming such a great missionary, i feel like as the trainer you learn more then the trainee haha! I do always look forward to hear from you's monday morning though! Love you Mom and Dad! Have another wonderful week! xx Love Elder Fesolai

Hey Mom and Dad!
Wow, so what a week it has been! Elder Winborg and I have been flat chat teaching, serving and preparing people for baptism! It's almost becoming stressful lol! Not really. So many people who are interested though and serious in keeping commitments, its such a blessing! This past Saturday we had 4 of the people weve been teaching baptised! It was a really really awesome day! Again, Bishop got one of the ward missionaries to do the baptisms, but it was great! We also have another baptism on the 14th of Novemeber, and there are 7 candidates preparing! The Lord is preparing so many people here daily, and we are so privileged as missionaries to teach them. The efforts we are putting in daily are really paying off! On Sunday I was able to do one of the confirmations for Naomi. Was pretty nervous because ive never done that before lol! Even almost forgot the words but the spirit helped me remember haha! Was a really wonderful experience! We told all of those being confirmed that Sunday to be at church early, they rocked up like 40 minutes early! Like wow! We got asked to bless sacrament again on Sunday aswell, so you know...felt like I was a priest again in young mens lol. Winborg and I always joke about it when we get asked to bless.] But wow, the stake activity looked absolutely amazing from the pics! It looked like a legit winter wonder land! We have a ward activity coming up, hopefully the decorations look the same....lol! Ghana stylez! Maybe the tree will be a branch/leaf from a coconut tree here with some tinsle and glitter haha! Im keen to get Christmas cards though! Mail just makes your day on the mission! Transfers are this week. I think next 6 weeks after i finish training WInborg ill most likely be trasnferred. Alot of people have been trasnferred from our Zone including Elder Koronikalou. But a new area is always exciting. Theres alot i still want to accomplish in Nungua though. Elder WInborg is doing well though. Half way through his training and he's loving it. We get along really well. I think we are learning alot from each other! Training is a really great opportunity. I think its made me grow quicker as a missionary. Being senior companion is interesting. We have alot of busy weeks coming up though. Alot of people to see and teach and alot of members are on our backs to come teaching with us. So im looking forward to it! We are doing well though. I think the weather is getting alot more hotter over here though which is somehow stink haha. The sun is scorching! Nungua is the place to be though haha! The Ward is going great. Weve been at alot of the members houses. Everything is just awesome! Thats about it for this week. Love you's so much though Mom and Dad! Have a great week! xx Elder Fesolai P.S Tell Keanu to email me the sad guy... Morning Mom and Dad!
So this week was great! It was really busy, but we had alot of opportunities to do things. Tuesday we were able to go to the Accra temple. Wow it was beautiful inside. President Heid is starting to let missionaries go alot more often now, so im looking forward to the next time I get to go lol! Yeah i caught up with Ofori. He asked President if he could call me so it was just coincidence we were in Accra at the time! Really cool guy! Elder Winborg and I are doing well though. We are approaching the end of this transfer this week. So he is already half way through his training. He's adapting really well and he can teach really well. Were both learning alot from each other. So church yesterday was pretty interesting haha. We watched General Conference because it takes time to get the disc to Ghana so we can view it. Anyway, we ended up watching the Saturday and Sunday sessions all in 1 sitting...was like 5 hours long...The talk were great nevertheless, but it was such a long time haha. Im not complaining though lol! The ward is doing great though, there's a guy in the ward who just returned from his mission who will proselyte with us regularly and we also have 2 ward missionaries who have their calls who are always coming out with is. They both will be going to different missions in Nigeria. Cant believe that were in November already. I was talking to one of the Elders who was in the MTC with me. We were saying it felt like a month ago we were in there eating donuts, burgers and drinking chocolate milk....haha! Ive heard from Elder Ludbey aswell. Sounds like he is enjoying it alot there. There is no way you cant enjoy the mtc in Provo haha! Christmas should be sweet though. Members are already planning on inviting us over, and we will have a ward Chirstmas party soon i think. They usually give us a sim and credit to call home, but President has also giving us permission to skype if we can find a cafe or go to a members house. We'll see what happens i guess! Weve been doing alot of teaching though. There are 3 people preparing to be baptised this Saturday! Naomi, Frederick and Isaac. Super exciting stuff! And next week Saturday there will also be another 2 more being baptised. We also have a Missionary Sunday coming up where we pretty much take over Sacrament meeting. They got me to be the concluding speaker...haha not sure what ill talk about yet! Love the pic and the vids mate! Keanu still being himself haha! Love hearing from you's though! Have a wonderful week! Our weeks going to be busy, so pray that we can see all the people we need to see haha! Love you's! xx Elder Fesolai Hey Mom and Dad!
So Elder Winborg and I had another busy week again. So There are currently 5 people preparing for baptism on the 21st of November. At this rate they are all progressing very well. Theyve been coming to church alot and been reading the Book of Mormon. One thing i love to do is read with them a chapter every now and then. There is alot of power in that book!!! I can testify of it. Really looking forward to this week. President has invited our district to go to the Ghana Accra temple. Itll be my first time there, so im pretty keen! Looking forward to go to the temple again aswell. Itll be good to go as a district! This guy weve been teaching for a while now finally made it to church this past Sunday. I think the spirit worked in him during sacrament! He is always feeding us when we go to teach him. Kenke and fish!!! Ive learnt to love it haha! To be honest there really isnt any food here i dont love. Matter of fact last week we went to a Nigerian family's house for FHE. They fed us abar (i think thats how you spell it) which is cassava thats dried and grounded with water. But we ate it with a soup that had....drumroll please...SNAILS! Not gonna lie i was super hesitant. It looked exactly like the ones we find in our backyard back home. Went down though, and i pulled off a smile lol! Weve been teaching alot with Godwin this week. That guy is solid. He has these 2 friends we are teaching. Potentially going to extend baptismal dates to them this week. Im loving this area so much though, pretty sure ill be transferred in January though. We had fast Sunday yesterday, because of Stake Conferenece the week before. Was a good day though, plenty of things to fast for on the mission! We ate fufu at a members house in the evening though. They always invite us over Sunday evenings, so thats really nice of them. Weve had alot of rain these last few days though. Some crazy thunder storms. Pretty cool though! Stink thing is its shredding up the roads/paths in the area because they a dirt roads. Were always helping guys push their cars/motos out of the mud lol. Ive been reading alot out of the Book of Mormon lately and studying Joseph Smith History. Ive been learning so much from the accounts of the Sons of Mosiah. Those guys are some of the greatest example of missionaries and i learn alot and try to apply the principals that ive learnt from reading about them. We also watch the Resoration DVD with people alot to give them a visual, everytime we watch that you just feel the spirit ay! Ive really just been learning so much everyday. I loved the pics though of you and mom and the ones of you guys fishing lol! We have permission to go fishing on P-days but i dunno where to buy a rod haha. I wouldnt really wanna fish from the beach in our area anyway...too many floating logs! Our ward is going great though and our teaching pool is progressing and expanding daily. Our efforts certainly are being rewarded and its amazing to see how many people the Lord is preparing/working on. I hope you's have another wonderful week! Its always great to hear from you's on monday! The benefits of email! One of the guys in the bishopric was telling us how it used to just be mail...that would be pretty stink! Love and miss you though Mom and Dad! xx Elder Fesolai Hey Mom and Dad, So this week was a pretty interesting week! We celebrated my birthday at KFC lol, but for the majority I was sick again....stink! The weather has been like Melbourne this week! Super hot, then raining/pouring and cold...Aint no malaria or ebola though haha! Nevertheless we still manages to get out and do the work, the people here mean too much too us not to see them! We were privileged to hear from Elder Bednar on Thursday. He also had with him Elder Vinson and Elder Hallstrom. They done like a question to the board type thing. So it was really great! I learnt a lot! Bednar really emphasized the temple and how important it is that we strive to go there WEEKLY...exception for us missionaries. ( i get to go to the temple in these upcoming weeks which will be good though) Overall the devotional was amazing! Godwin came with us too, he loved it! This past Sunday we had a special stake conference again where we had some general authorities speak to us so we all traveled with the ward in a bus to the Tema stake centre! This week was an awesome opportunity to hear from a few General authorities! We were blessed to have another baptism this past Saturday! It always fills our souls with joy when another brother/sister enters the waters of baptism! We are so so privileged to participate in the work of the lord! During the week though we had a cool experience! We were walking to this area, and on thr way one of our members calls us out. She wanted a blessing and told us her phone had died so she was unable to give us or anyone a call and she's been praying to see someone. So It was my companions first time giving a blessing and it was wonderful! It strengthened my testimony that God hears and answers prayers! We've been working a lot with Godwin lately though. We went and got him some white shirts and ties so he can bless sacrament. But he comes out teaching which is awesome. He loves the clothes aswell lol. Fresh guy! Really looking forward to this week though! First Birthday out in the mission and only one more to go haha! People don't believe I'm 19 though. Some guy said i look 40...sad guy! I was pretty guttered hahahahaha! The area is doing well, and the ward is awesome! Elder Winborg is doing great! He's learning and trying harder everyday, and I'm learning a lot from him as well! Love and miss you's though heaps! I loved the pics you sent! Keen to see more next week! But until then! Love you's! Have a great week! xxx Elder Fesolai |
