Well we have now entered into another transfer (6 weeks) Making this my last 'full' transfer. Having mixed emotions about it all but I've really enjoyed my mission so far and learnt so many wonderful lessons! Keen to smash out these last 9 weeks though haha!
This week went by too fast to be honest! Things are kind of just a blur in my mind but let me type them out to the best of my ability lol! We have been teaching alot of new people which has been great, and it's always just fun to meet and try help and serve new people each week! As we were going to new areas we haven't really adventured into too much we met this one guy Steven. He was just chilling at his house, and so we felt prompted to go and talk to him and see how he was doing. We ended up teaching him, and we got quite into the Restoration. Was a sweet lesson, it was so quiet, and we all just felt the spirit strongly. He didn't make it to church on Sunday because of commitments he already made, but this week he promised to come! Elder Bankole and I have also been going through our area book and looking at some of the old investigators previous missionaries have taught in the past. We met with 2 this past week and it has been a great experience...kind of one of those 'area book' story/experiences haha. So we called a few and managed to tee up an appointment with some! One was this lady Deborah, who had previously been taught but traveled to Accra and just lost contact with the mishos! We found out she was back in Effiduase for good, and she had been taught a whole lot actually, even was planning to be baptized. So when we met her we just had a long conversation and discussion about the things she had previously learnt and come to know were true! We also extended a date to her again which she accepted! A similar story, we were able to meet with this lady Francisca. It took us about 30 mins to find her house as we were in an unfamiliar area and it was dark...but with reasoning and the guidance of the spirit...we finally found the place lol! And we had a solid lesson too. It's interesting to see how happy these people were when they were able to meet with missionaries again! Thursday evening we went out with the branch presidency visiting less actives and to invite them to branch conference. It was really awesome, even though I didn't understand half of what was said lol. They love speaking the local dialects out here, but I felt the spirit, and the love and appreciation of those we were able to see. Branch Conference on Sunday went well too. Saw one of the members from Nungua who was visiting which was sweet! He was surprised to see me, though I had gone home already lol...nope! But after church we were blessed to have a baptism! Samuel was finally baptized yesterday and the support from the branch was so awesome! We held it straight after church and it was an awesome day and experience for Samuel! Elder Bankole and I are doing great though! Just continuing to look for ways to improve and serve each other and help the area grow at the same time! We're having a heap of fun, and time is just going by super quick! I hope as Easter approaches though, we continue to have the Savior on the front of our minds. The world, or mostly Christians tend to remember the death of Christ, but we remember and know that he lives! I am grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ! For his perfect example! It is so amazing and gives us reason to rejoice that although we are imperfect, there is one who is perfect. One who strengthens, supports, lifts us up and help us to be perfected through him! Jesus Christ! Hope you's have an awesome week though and don't pig out on too many hot cross buns and chocolate eggs and what not hahaha! As for us here, think I'll just eat normal eggs...on toast or something lol! Anywaaayy, love yous! Elder Fesolai
